Lake Kabetogama Ice House Rentals

Lake Kabetogama’s only fish house rental service. We fish out of aluminum spray foam insulated Ice Trek fish houses. Clean, warm and comfortable! Fish commonly caught include Walleye, Sauger, Perch, Northern Pike, Tullibee and Eelpout.

$80 per person per day includes use of heated Ice Trek fish house and transportation. Bait not included.

Ice rods (2 can be used per person in winter) – rental rods are available. Electronics (Vexilar, Hummingbird, Marcom) rental Vexilar’s are available. Extra tackle, bucket (to put any fish you want to keep in), lunch, beverages & fish measuring device.

Overnight Accommodations

Lodge Suite (New in 2020) comes fully furnished with cooking facilities, gas grill & Direct TV. Optional bedroom setup includes 2 kings or 4 twins. The living area has a queen sized pull out bed along with a twin pull out.

Lodge Room (New in 2020) comes furnished with Direct TV and optional bedroom setup that includes 1 king sized bed or 2 twin beds.

Lodge Rates
Lodge Suite – $340 per night for up to 4 guests. Add $20/night for each additional guest.

How to setup your rods for Lake Kabetogama!
You can use 2 rods in winter while fishing Lake Kabetogama. We recommend rigging one rod up as a dead stick using a slip bobber and a couple split shot placed a foot up from a number 6 live bait hook. Hook a minnow on the upper body 3/4 towards the tail. Set your bobber stop so your minnow is 4 inches from the bottom. On your second rod we recommend 6 pound monofilament line, and ensuring your drag is set right! We typically use a jigging spoon with a single treble hook on the bottom, such as as buck shot jigs or Charmers made by Tom’s Tackle. Use half a minnow (both head or tail work!) on the treble hook. We also recommend putting a swivel about 2 feet from your spoon to help reduce line twist. Tie spoon directly to the line. Jigging and watching your electronics will greatly increase your odds of catching fish!
